Breast cancer has risen to terrifying numbers but men are not clear from the cancer scare. They are also getting affected by problems with their prostate. The best method of treatment toward these diseases is prevention. Men and women need to know their bodies and know what to put into it to avoid disease and to live a healthier lifestyle. It all starts with our diet!

A man’s prostate is the equivalence of a woman’s uterus. A man’s prostate is a gland that wraps around the urethra which is why it causes urination discomfort when it is enlarged. A normal prostate is considered to be about the size of a walnut when in perfect health. A man’s prostate enlarges naturally through age. It is responsible for the secretion and production of semen. To work properly the prostate needs hormones which are responsible for the sexual characteristics of a male. The main male hormone is testosterone. Testosterone is produced mainly in the testicles and some small amounts in the adrenal glands. Dihydrotestosterone is what regulates the prostate.

A male’s general diet is the main thing that keeps the prostate healthy along with water and exercise. The digestive system must also work properly. If the colon is unclean then it will cast waste material into the blood stream and cause infection and inflammation then weakens the prostate. The prostate becomes enlarged and presses against the urethral canal and will back up urine by obstructing the bladder.  It causes urine retention and will block the urine making you urinate more frequently along with a burning sensation, blood and/or pus in the urine. Prostatitus is caused by too much acid in the prostate area from a poor diet which is high in meat, chicken, dairy, eggs, wine, sugar, smoking, and salt.

Most men don’t know that their prostate is composed of the mineral Zinc. With every ejaculation the zinc level decreases and they lose crucial minerals which can cause poor vision, lower libido, bitter fingernails and leads to prostate cancer. For a highly sexually active male it is important to make sure your diet has a good source of Zinc. Gorillas are the most masculine of all animals in the jungle. They are loaded with testosterone and strength and are the closest to our species. Their diet consists of fruits and vegetables. They are strong and have no sexual impotence. Maybe our men should take their advice of a plant based diet and to stay away from Viagra. Prevention is better than a cure.
